ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Megan (she/her), a therapist serving DC and Virginia. I offer in-person therapy in DC and virtual therapy in both DC and VA. My goal is to make therapy approachable, not intimidating. I meet you where you are, creating a space for curiosity, thoughtfulness, and sometimes even a little humor.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, relationship stress, or just feeling stuck, I’m here to help. Together, we’ll lean into your strengths, build resilience, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life with tools that actually work for you.

I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), Intensive Dynamic Psychotherapy (IDP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and the Gottman Method, tailoring my work to what fits you best.

Outside the therapy room, I practice what I encourage you to do: live with intention and balance. My self-care includes time with friends, family, and my dog, Ellie, as well as hiking, snowboarding, crocheting, camping, and reading.

SPECIALTIES
Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like something just isn’t clicking in your life or relationship? I offer individual and couples therapy in Washington, DC and Virginia to help you make sense of it all, address challenges, and move forward with confidence. Here are a few areas I specialize in:
01
ADHD
Living with ADHD can feel like an uphill battle with focus, organization, and frustration. It can affect your confidence, relationships, and productivity. Having navigated this myself, I offer therapy for ADHD that combines clinical expertise with personal insight, helping you build strategies that work for your brain instead of forcing it to work like everyone else's.
02
Anxiety
Anxiety can feel like a constant background noise or crash in all at once. The heavy chest, racing heart, and exhaustion can make it hard to keep up. It can touch relationships, work, and everyday life. Therapy for anxiety helps you build tools to calm your system while understanding what’s underneath it so you can feel more steady, capable, and in control.
03
Couples Therapy
Even strong relationships can get stuck in cycles of miscommunication or distance. You might feel like you’re having the same argument or can’t quite find your way back to each other. Couples therapy offers space to slow down, rebuild understanding, and reconnect. I offer relationship therapy for all relationship structures to improve communication and strengthen intimacy.
04
Life Transitions
Change can feel exciting and disorienting, especially when you’re usually the one who keeps it all together. New relationships, jobs, school, or life shifts can bring stress, anxiety, or self-doubt you didn’t expect. Together, we’ll navigate these transitions, tap into your resilience, and find stability even when everything feels uncertain.
I provide therapy for a wide range of concerns, including academic stress and performance anxiety, coping skills development, relationship trauma and dating challenges, divorce counseling, grief and loss, LGBTQ+ affirming therapy, healing from narcissistic relationships, depression and anxiety (mood disorders), premarital counseling, ethical non-monogamy and polyamory support, self-esteem issues, stress management, and trauma therapy.
